Here is the latest video from the makers of the flex belt, actually showing the ab belt being used, and some pulses while a guy is wearing it. You can see how effective and easy this is, you just have to make sure to choose a high quality ab toner and it will give you good results.
We consider the contour abs belt to be of poor qaulity, given its total price of around $220. It is not a particularly up to date design, and still uses batteries to power the device instead of a rechargeable power pack like its competitors.
In additon, it seems difficult to find a phone number for the company, and customer service is not the best - it can take up to 6 weeks for you to receive the contour belt after you place an order!
The manufacturing of the Contour Abs also seemed to be of a poorer quality than the other products we have tested, which is particularly worrying due to the limited time available to claim your money back and the short warranty period.
We found that the Contour Abs Belt did produce results but not at the same speed as the other belts out there for similar prices. The pulse strength felt weaker than the other products, as well as the contractions. It was also a little uncomfortable compared to the Flex Belt which is similarly priced and produced better results. Another negative compared with both the Flex Belt and Flex Enervive is that the Contour Belt runs on 4 AAA batteries and not a rechargeable power supply. This will be particularly frustrating if you will be using your belt on a daily basis as they may need replaced regularly! In short, the Contour Belt did not match up to the standards of its most similar-priced rival the Flex Belt in terms of quality, performance, ease of use, customer satisfaction and service.
We feel that the Flex Belt ab toner offers much better value for money, quality, a better design and great customer service.
The Contour Ab Belt (a.k.a. Contour Abs or Contour Core Sculpting System) is available on a ‘free trial’ for $14.95, plus four monthly recurring payments of $49.95, but doesn’t offer nearly the quality of construction and performance or ease of operation of the other belts.
Since the price is nearly the same as the Flexbelt, the Flexbelt is obviously better value for your money. Check out our comparison to see how you think the quality and features compare. After ordering, it took 22 days for the Contour Belt to arrive, which we find very bad given the time limits on the ‘free trial’. There is also once again no money back guarantee offered, which is of slight concern given that this ab belt is the same price as the Flexbelt! Overall we experienced faster results with the Flex Belt.
If you absolutely, positively hate abdominal crunches, you may find this product useful. Just bear in mind that it will work primarily by strengthening the abdominal muscles, not magically melting off fat.
There are also complaints about shady business practices, ranging from unauthorized credit card charges to inferior product quality coupled with inept customer service. Thill Logistics, the parent company that carries the Contour brand, has an “Unsatisfactory” rating by the Wisconsin Better Business Bureau.
